“Dance Me if You Can”, from Square Peg Round Hole
Presented in The Box Saturday 6.00-7.00, Sunday 7.00-8.00
The film was inspired by an interest in the spiral narrative of folk tales and focuses on the romance, attraction, reflection, and transformation that occurs within them. It tells the story of two lost lovers searching for each other, dancing the tango amongst a parade of circles and verticals. The animation was created from a series of 13 lithographic variations inspired by Julio Cortazar.
Cinco Poemas Para Cris
Creo que no te quiero,
que solamente quiero la imposibilidad
tan obvia de quererte
como la mano izquierda
enamorada de ese guante
que vive en la derecha.
